GCr15: It belongs to rolling bearing steel, with high hardness, uniform structure, good wear resistance and contact fatigue performance. Raw material preparation

Inspection of materials: Purchase appropriate raw materials according to product design requirements.

Cutting: According to the size specifications of the bushing, use cutting equipment (such as sawing machine, laser cutting machine, etc.) to cut the raw materials into suitable blanks. The size of the blanks should take into account the subsequent processing allowance.

Machining

Rough machining: Clamp the forged or cast blank on a lathe, milling machine or other machine tools for rough machining, remove most of the allowance, and process the basic shapes of the inner and outer cylindrical surfaces, end faces, etc. of the bushing, leaving a machining allowance of about 0.5-1mm for subsequent finishing.

Finishing: The bushing after rough machining is semi-finished and finished to ensure dimensional accuracy and surface quality. The inner and outer cylindrical surfaces are ground with a grinder, and the dimensional accuracy can be controlled at 0.01mm or even higher; the inner hole of the bushing is bored with a boring machine to ensure the cylindricity and straightness of the inner hole; for bushings with special requirements, honing may also be required to further improve the finish and accuracy of the inner hole surface.

Drilling and tapping: According to the design requirements of the bushing, use a drilling machine to process mounting holes, oil holes, etc. on the bushing, and perform tapping operations for installation and lubrication.

Heat treatment

Quenching: For alloy steel bushings, quenching treatment is usually required to improve hardness and strength. The machined bushing is heated to above the critical temperature, kept warm for a certain period of time, and then quickly cooled to change the organizational structure of the material to obtain high-strength organizations such as martensite.

Tempering: There is a large internal stress inside the quenched bushing, which is easy to cause cracking and deformation, and tempering treatment is required. Heat the bushing to a temperature range below the critical temperature, keep warm for a period of time, and then cool it to eliminate internal stress, stabilize the organization and size, and improve the toughness of the material.

Surface treatment: In order to improve the wear resistance, corrosion resistance and self-lubricating properties of the bushing, the surface of the bushing needs to be treated. Common surface treatment methods include hard chrome plating, copper plating, phosphating, blackening, etc. For example, hard chrome plating can form a chromium layer with high hardness and good wear resistance on the surface of the bushing, effectively improving the service life of the bushing.
