Excavator Pin Shaft
Connection and transmission: It is the key part that connects the excavator bucket with the boom, connecting rod and other parts, so that these parts form an organic whole, transmit the movement of the boom and connecting rod to the bucket, realize the bucket's excavation, lifting, flipping and other actions, ensure the coordination and accuracy of the movement between the parts, and ensure the normal operation of the excavator.
Loading and support: When the excavator is working, it bears the weight of the bucket and the excavated materials, as well as various impact forces and shear forces generated during the excavation process. The bucket pin must have sufficient strength and rigidity to ensure that it does not deform, break or other failure forms when bearing these loads, and maintain the stability and reliability of the excavator's working device.
Ensure sealing: Cooperate with relevant seals to ensure the sealing of the connection parts, prevent hydraulic oil leakage, and maintain the normal pressure and working efficiency of the hydraulic system. At the same time, it can also prevent external dust, soil, moisture and other impurities from entering the connection parts, reduce the wear of components and extend the service life.
Easy to repair and replace: As an independent component, when the bucket pin is worn or damaged, it is easy to repair or replace it separately, which reduces the cost and difficulty of repair, improves the maintenance efficiency of the excavator, reduces equipment downtime, and ensures the smooth progress of the project construction.

High-quality carbon structural steel: It has a high manganese content, high strength, hardness and elasticity. After proper heat treatment, the bucket pin can have good toughness, good wear resistance and fatigue resistance. It is suitable for working conditions with high working intensity and high requirements for bucket pin elasticity and wear resistance.

After proper heat treatment, the bucket pin can have good toughness, good wear resistance and fatigue resistance. It is suitable for working conditions with high working intensity and high requirements for bucket pin elasticity and wear resistance.
Raw material preparation
Material selection: According to the performance requirements of the bucket pin, select suitable steel, such as 42CrMo4 and other alloy structural steel.
Inspection and warehousing: Strictly inspect the purchased steel, check whether the specifications and dimensions of the materials meet the requirements, check the material certification documents, and ensure that the chemical composition and mechanical properties of the materials meet the production standards. After passing the inspection, the steel is stored in the warehouse and waits for unloading.
Unloading: According to the size specifications of the bucket pin, use CNC sawing machines and other equipment to cut the steel into suitable blanks, and consider the processing allowance when unloading.
Machining
Rough processing: Clamp the blank on the CNC lathe and perform rough processing operations such as outer circle, end face, chamfering, etc., leaving a processing allowance of 0.5mm-1mm for subsequent fine processing. If the bucket pin needs to be drilled or threaded, rough processing is also performed at this stage.
Finishing: Use high-precision grinders and other equipment to finish the bucket pins, ensuring that the diameter tolerance of the bucket pins is controlled within ±0.01mm, the cylindricality is controlled within ±0.005mm, and the surface roughness reaches Ra1.6-Ra0.8μm.
Heat treatment
Quenching: Put the finished bucket pins into the quenching furnace and heat them to the appropriate temperature, such as 800℃-850℃ for medium carbon steel and 850℃-900℃ for alloy steel, and then quickly put them into the coolant to cool.
Tempering: There is a large internal stress inside the bucket pin after quenching, and tempering treatment is required to eliminate the internal stress and stabilize the structure and size. The tempering temperature is generally between 550℃-650℃, and the specific temperature and holding time are determined according to the material and performance requirements.
Surface hardening treatment: Induction quenching or nitriding treatment is often used. Induction quenching uses the principle of electromagnetic induction to quickly heat the surface of the bucket pin to the quenching temperature, and then quickly cools it to form a high-hardness martensitic structure on the surface; nitriding treatment is to penetrate nitrogen atoms into the surface of the bucket pin to form a nitride layer with high hardness and good wear resistance.
Surface treatment
Rust and oil removal: Use chemical cleaning or shot blasting to remove rust, oil and impurities on the surface of the bucket pin to prepare for subsequent surface treatment.
Anti-corrosion treatment: Common treatments include galvanizing, nickel plating, and blackening. Galvanizing can form a zinc layer on the surface of the bucket pin to improve corrosion resistance; nickel plating can make the surface of the bucket pin have good gloss and corrosion resistance; blackening treatment forms a black oxide film on the surface of the bucket pin, which plays a certain role in rust prevention.
