Metal material

45 steel: It is a medium carbon steel with high strength and hardness. After appropriate heat treatment, such as quenching and tempering, it can obtain good comprehensive mechanical properties, which can meet the requirements of bucket bushings to withstand greater pressure and friction during work. It has relatively low cost and is widely used.

40Cr steel: It is an alloy structural steel with better hardenability and strength than 45 steel, and better performance in wear resistance and fatigue resistance. After quenching and tempering treatment and surface quenching, the wear resistance and impact resistance of the bushing can be improved. It is suitable for excavator buckets with relatively harsh working conditions and high bushing performance requirements.

1. Material selection: According to product requirements, select suitable metal materials, such as 45 steel, 40Cr steel, copper alloy, etc., to ensure that the chemical composition and mechanical properties of the materials meet the standards.

2. Cutting: According to the design size, use cutting equipment to cut the metal raw materials into suitable blanks. Generally, sawing machines, cutting machines and other equipment are used to ensure the dimensional accuracy and surface quality of the blanks.

3. Finishing: Use high-precision lathes, grinders and other equipment for finishing, and accurately process the inner hole, outer circle and end face of the bushing to achieve the dimensional accuracy and surface roughness required by the design. The machining accuracy of the inner hole and outer circle is usually controlled between a few microns and tens of microns, and the surface roughness reaches Ra0.8-Ra1.6μm.

4. Drilling and tapping: According to the design requirements of the bushing, use drilling machines and other equipment to perform drilling and tapping operations to process mounting holes and threaded holes, etc., to ensure the position accuracy of the mounting holes and the quality of the threads.

5. Heat treatment

Quenching: Heat the processed bushing to above the critical temperature, keep it warm for a certain period of time, and then cool it rapidly to change the metal structure and improve the hardness and strength of the bushing. For example, for 45 steel bushings, the quenching temperature is generally 820-840℃, and the cooling medium is usually water or oil.

Tempering: There is a large internal stress inside the bushing after quenching. Tempering treatment can eliminate the internal stress, stabilize the structure and size, and improve the toughness of the bushing. The tempering temperature is determined according to the material and performance requirements, generally between 500-650℃.

6.Surface treatment

Hard chrome plating: In order to improve the wear resistance and corrosion resistance of the bushing, hard chrome plating is often used. Put the bushing in a chrome plating tank and plate a hard chrome layer on its surface through electrolysis. The thickness of the chrome plating layer is generally between 0.02-0.05mm.

Blackening treatment: Blackening treatment can form a black oxide film on the surface of the bushing, which plays a role in rust prevention and beauty. Generally, chemical oxidation method is adopted, in which the bushing is immersed in a solution containing an oxidant to form an oxide film on the surface at a certain temperature and time.
